What’s Happened During the Campaign?

The Brexit vote is now scheduled for Friday, July 15th – two years earlier than expected! During this time frame, candidates will be campaigning and voting on whether or not they want to remain a part of the EU.
We’ve seen the rise of candidates from smaller parties in this election, including UKIP and The Green Party. While these are not significant contenders for winning seats, they have significantly impacted how campaigning is being done. Well, it means that there’s still plenty to be surprised about in this election. We’re in for a rollercoaster ride, but at the end of it all, we’ll have our next Prime Minister.
When Do We Get the Results?
The UK’s election results will be announced on Friday, June 24th. We’ll have a complete list of who has won and lost each constituency. Stay tuned – it’s going to be an exciting night. You should be able to watch the results come in on the BBC, ITV News, or Sky News. If you can’t stay up all night to watch it live, don’t worry – we’ll have full coverage of everything that happened during the day. We should be expecting a new Prime Minister by Friday afternoon. The Queen has called for an audience with them shortly after the election results are announced, so we’ll know who it is fairly quickly.
